Cara makes the coolest night lights you’ve ever seen. She hand draws her design on a large scallop shell and then one-by-one, she fills in the design with the tiniest glass beads you’ve ever seen. Her creations are fun, detailed and unique! She loves to do custom designs, so if she doesn’t already have one to suit your fancy, she will whip up whatever design you’d like. She even has a book in the store to show some of her past designs.

Peggy is a retired operating room nurse, and after a long and successful career, she turned to art. Shelly is a veteran member of The Pink Turtle. She and her family have lived in numerous countries (including Saudi Arabia and Thailand) due to her husband’s job before settling in Flagler Beach. During her time abroad, she raised her daughters and turned to crocheting as a hobby. She has since become a very talented crocheter. She makes a large variety of items including baby play mats, blankets, baskets, washable mop covers, keychains, hot pads, and much more! She’s probably most known for her amazing scrubbies. If you have used them before, then you know how amazing they are! They can be used for cleaning showers or any surface in your home, including counters, stovetops and sinks. They will clean bugs off of your car without scratching paint, they are wonderful to clean dishes with, they can be used as a body/face loofa, and as coasters. The options are limitless! They can even be used as cat toys! She loves to keep her hands busy and would love even more to make something custom for you!
Sue is the longest-standing team member of The Pink Turtle, having been part of the store since it opened in 2018! Sue participated in many craft shows up north before she and her family relocated to FL. Sue has a large selection of items in the store that range from wall art, to home decor and even fun items for the kids! She often incorporates sand, shells, and other locally found treasures that make her pieces a wonderful souvenir if you’re visiting or a great reminder of the beauty of home if you’re local. Fun fact about Sue - Her brother is Dee Snider from Twisted Sister! How cool is that?!
Sue is one of our newest team members. She is originally from New Jersey. After living in a few different states and countries, she is now firmly settled in Florida. Her parents saw some potential in her artistic talent after enrolling her in art classes at the age of 8 (she still has her first painting)! She loves working with any medium but has recently felt more comfortable and relaxed while painting in watercolors. She wholeheartedly believes anything can be a canvas which is why her newest pieces are painted on teabags! Look out, who knows what she'll come up with next!
In February 2021, I walked into the cutest shop I'd ever seen. I was there to see if I could meet the owner with the hopes that she'd be interested in having my artwork in her store. She wasn't on the schedule that day, but as fate would have it, she walked in right as I was about to leave. We chatted, and not only did I get accepted as an artist in the store, but I was also asked if I wanted to work there! That store was The Pink Turtle Gift Shoppe, and the owner was Debbie Phillips. We became instant friends, and fast forward to January 2022, I found myself taking over the reins from Debbie. I never in my wildest dreams would have guessed that things were going to work out the way they did, but my love of the store, art, the wonderful people I've met through the store, and the amazing Flagler Beach community made it an easy choice. I'm proud to call The Pink Turtle mine, and I'm so thankful for all of the wonderfully talented artists that choose to showcase their work in the store.
I work for treats.
